Would you like to assist Dominion Woman’s Club in making their outreaches successful? Please read about our many special projects detailed on this website to see how your donation can impact the lives of many in our community. Here are just a few of the ways DWC is making a difference:

• DWC President’s Project: “Buy a Kid a Book”- This year, DWC was able to purchase a teacher-approved book at the Scholastic Book Fair for EVERY child (including preschool) at Ellis Elementary, a Title 1 school in Manassas.

• “Pinwheels for Prevention”- Community awareness display at the Haymarket Museum to highlight prevention of child abuse created and maintained by DWC members.

• “Purple Posy Project”- Members paint pots, plant purple mums in them and attach information (hotline numbers, etc.) about how victims of domestic abuse can get help. Members distribute the pots to hospital waiting areas, doctors’ offices banks, police stations and other prominent areas where victims can easily access them.

• Yearly author’s event to support literacy – Each year, DWC hosts a luncheon and invites an author to be our guest speaker in an effort to demonstrate the importance of literacy and that life-long learning can be an achievable goal.

• PACE’S Village – DWC and other community partners work with the principal and staff of PACE West school and act in lieu of a PTO to fulfill students’ needs and to staff and fund special events at the school.

A donation of any amount would be appreciated, but here are some suggested levels:

$50 or $100 to a specific outreach (such as “Buy a Kid a Book”)

For our “Brunch With Adriana” literacy event:

$75 – Friend of DWC       $150 – Patron of DWC

$300 – Flower Sponsor    $600 – Table Sponsor
