Best Overall
Club: GFWC Dominion Woman’s Club:
Project: Support of local Title I school
The club promoted Education & Libraries with 11 projects, clocking 1363 volunteer hours, and donating $6,710.00 as well as supplying $6,188.00 of in-kind donations. The club supported Ellis Elementary, a Title I school, by providing funds to enable each student to purchase a book. They are also members of PACE’s Village, a network of sponsors who develop ways to help the students and staff of PACE West School. They have continued to support the school’s pantry and the Holiday Bonanza Shop where students may shop with accumulated points. The club provides $2000.00 in scholarships as well as two HOBY scholarships.

Club – GFWC Dominion Woman’s Club
Project – Involvement in the local Business Association and Chamber of Commerce
Business Association (HGBA) and Prince William Chamber of Commerce (PWC CoC). The club is a charter founding member of the PWC CoC, and the public relations committee donated items for door prizes at all networking events. The club’s public relations chair serves as a liaison for the woman’s club, but members are also encouraged to participate in HGBA and PWC CoC meetings.

Club: GFWC Dominion Woman’s Club
Project: Partnership with Leopold’s Nature Preserve and Bull Run Nature Conservancy.
Awarded for their successful partnership with Leopold’s Nature Preserve and Bull Run Nature Conservancy with goal of education and protection of natural resources. CSP provided donations and volunteered on Earth Day to plant trees at the Preserve. Also, at Leopold’s Preserve they maintained a native garden on an ongoing basis as well as removed invasive plants, trash and old metal equipment leftover from old farm machines. The CSP provided environmental education to children and adults through games and prizes by participating in two major events at Leopold’s Preserve- Halloween Safari and Fall Festival. They also attended the Conservancy’s educational winter programs.
