American Girl Mother-Daughter Brunch – June 2019

Mother-Daughter Brunch at Chantilly National Golf and Country Club 

Back by popular demand, GFWC Dominion Woman’s Club held a special event…a Mother-Daughter Brunch! Erin Teagan, author of the popular book series for American Girl of the Year 2018, Luciana, was our guest speaker. Erin took us on her own personal journey as a biochemist and how she was inspired to write about Luciana and her adventures in exploring the realms of space, the ocean and more.

This delightful brunch provided an opportunity to engage in interactive STEM projects, win American Girl raffle items and lots of fun! Girls wore their favorite party dresses and brought their American Girl, Bitty Baby or favorite dolls.

All proceeds from this event will go to support GFWC Dominion Woman’s Club outreaches to the community, especially children’s literacy through their “Buy A Kid A Book” project.
